On the afternoon of February 19, Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of the Yancheng Municipal Committee of the CPC, inspected spring agricultural production. He emphasized the need to seize the farming season, scientifically and efficiently manage spring field operations and cultivation preparations, continuously enhance food security and agricultural modernization, ensure increased grain yields, agricultural efficiency, and farmer incomes, and contribute to building a high-level agricultural city. Wu Wei, Deputy Party Secretary and Head of the United Front Work Department, participated in the inspection.

During the visit, Zhou Bin stressed that the farming season waits for no one and spring management is critical. He called for enhancing agricultural development with technology, advancing research in functional foods, fully stimulating innovation among agricultural researchers, strengthening technical guidance, expanding agricultural service institutions, ensuring stable supply of agricultural materials, and improving the quality and efficiency of grain production. He also urged greater efforts to guide and encourage young people to return to their hometowns, contribute to local development, and continuously grow the ranks of “new-generation farmers”, thereby better enabling agricultural modernization and comprehensive rural revitalization.
